Dear Artist,

dear Madam or Sir!

STRABAG Artaward has been awarded in Austria since 1994 and internationally since 2009. The art prize awards artists up to the age of 40 years, working in the fields of painting and drawing.

Participating countries 2024–2026

From 2024 to 2026, artists from Austria, as a permanent participating country, and Germany and Slovenia will be eligible to apply. In addition, artists from Ukraine currently residing in one of the participating countries are eligible to participate regardless of the duration of their stay.

Jury

The jury members of STRABAG Artaward International 2024–2026 are art experts from the participating countries:

Alenka Gregorič, Artistic director Cukrarna, Ljubljana

Johan Holten, Director Kunsthalle Mannheim

Angela Stief, Director Albertina Modern, Vienna

Sebastian Haselsteiner, Director STRABAG Kunstforum, Vienna

Prize Money

The jury of STRABAG Artaward International 2024 will select a main prize winner (€ 16.000) and four recognition prizes (€ 8.000 each). In addition, art works of the winners might be purchased for the STRABAG Artcollection.

After the award ceremony and the collective exhibition of all the prize-winning works, each of the five laureates will have a solo exhibition at STRABAG Kunstforum in Vienna. The laureates can sign up for the artist-in-residence-program at STRABAG Artstudio in Vienna.

Submission of original artworks: Beginning of April 2024

Award ceremony: Thu, 27 June 2024
