 „Emilios Riadis“ string quartet has been an active chamber music ensemble for more than 17 years. Founded in 2005 by musicians of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, it was named after the distinguished Greek composer of the city of Thessaloniki. It is considered to be one of the most important chamber music ensembles in Greece being invited at the most prestigious music festivals throughout the country. Emilios Riadis string quartet has collaborated over the years with distinguished Greek and foreign composers and guest musicians such as Alain Meunier, Jean Christophe Charron, Giacomo Battarino, Barbara Tsampali, Violeta Lousta, Dimitrios Chandrakis, Chara Seira, Angelos Liakakis, Maria Mylaraki, Katerina Gima, Nikolos Dimopoulos, Apostolos Chandrakis and Giannis Karagiannidis among others. Riadis quartet has recorded the First-string quartet by awardee composer Kostas Tsougras in 2014 being released by Phasma Music label.

The repertoire of the ensemble covers a wide range of works from the early Baroque period up to now.
