Formerly known as Pageant of Our Lord, the Living Art Experience is a unique presentation of the life of Christ through “living” reproductions of famous works of art. This theatrical masterpiece includes life-sized paintings and sculptures, utilizing live models within the art, accompanied by original narration, choir, and orchestra. Twelve breathtaking re-creations of art masterpieces using live models will be presented including iconic works such as Leonardo DaVinci’s Last Supper and Michelangelo’s Pietà. The program will be narrated with an original script and presented with an inspirational musical score performed by an orchestra and vocal ensemble.
Living Art Experience promises to be an exceptional event, combining art, music, and storytelling. Although your eyes may deceive you, be assured that every art piece includes at least one living model. The beauty and majesty of classical sacred art are inspired by the life of Christ and brought into reality on stage.

Pageant of Our Lord was originally founded in 1980 by Dr. David Halverson, who served as producer and musical director. Halverson was inspired by the Passion Play at Oberammergau in Germany and moved beyond words by the tableaus of that production. Alongside Dr. Halverson, his gifted wife, Jeannie now serves as co-producer and director for the new production.
The creative team, including Brad Hicks, art director, Lori Nolan, production coordinator, and Thespina Patronas, creative PR strategist have helped make this event a success in its new transition. The grand lobby features intermission opportunities with guest sculpture artist, Dimitris Roussetos making his debut at LAE with sculptural “Art to Wear” jewelry inspired by LAE masterpieces plus Pietris Bakery, a local favorite family-owned bakery.
The world-famous Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach, California, which uses live models in famous paintings and sculptures, collaborated and provided training and art techniques to
the first Pageant of Our Lord team. Now, Living Art Experience will come to life in the beach communities of South Bay, California.
Award-winning, Greek-American recording artist and creative entrepreneur Thespina Patronas grew up surrounded by music and theater. Born in Athens and raised in California and her hometown, Santorini near nature and the sea, Thespina’s passion, to promote Hellenism and the arts through her visions add a creative flair to everything she does. Her storytelling through songwriting serves as an expression of her love and art that brings healing and purpose.
Thespina returns to the studio to record new music that was inspired by her recent travels in Greece. Meanwhile, she is writing and preparing to publish her first poetry collection. As an independent artist, she recognizes the value of sharing her gifts with the world.
While Thespina’s academic background is in Education, Counseling and Theology, during the past few years, Thespina found herself helping bridge culture and art by creating opportunities and awareness in Greece and Los Angeles for fellow artists. Her love for Greece is deeply rooted in her Hellenic origin which fosters a desire to share that love in her original piano compositions.
