Ακούσαμε το single “Cut Loose” των Καναδών IMMORTALIZER
Immortalizer’s latest single and video is entitled Cut Loose. The power/heavy metal project with speed metal parts from Canada once again performs in an absolutely flawless and magnificent way some of their most straight forward furious metal.
In the video Dave D.R. changes positions in all instruments (guitar, bass and the drums) and gives his absolute best performance.
Immortalizer is a one man band, so it is truly big the fact they achieve such a huge and massive sound.
Cut Loose begins with a very classic heavy metal riff of the Iron Maiden school of riffs and especially of their Killers era. Even the vocals of Dave D.R. bring to mind Paul Di Anno here.
At the staccato/groovy parts of the song there’s an early Metallica Ride The Lightning vibe (especially when the second guitar performs some really beautiful melodic phrases).
The chorus sticks in to your brain and you will be sure to sing it after the song has ended. There has been a great work done also in the lead guitars and everything sounds really tight and right.
Cut Loose is a street metal song, a tough ride metal song, a tune that pays tribute to the early 80’s heavy metal sound that begins from hard rock and ends to thrash/speed metal, so Motorhead are also somehow present.
The lead guitar of the outro is truly amazing and the basic riff that comes back in, brings some kind of audio salvation which is necessary for the listener at this part. So, the songwriting is really clever.
Cut Loose was written and recorded by Dave D.R., and then engineered, mixed and mastered by Ralf Scheepers of Primal Fear, so no wonder about the huge and massive sound we wrote at the beginning of the review!
The song will be included in Immortalizer’s upcoming album, an album that makes all power and heavy metal fans really anxious to get it in their hands.
