KOSTIS DAMOULAKIS AKA JAMER (GR)
PAOLO PSIKO (IT)
UrbanAct , The Italian Cultural Institute of Athens and The Project Gallery welcome you to a unique art exhibition entitled “2×2 The GrIt”. This exhibition is a continuation of UrbanAct’s collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens, in an effort to promote the work of young famous artists from the field of streetart, from Greece and Italy. Through this creative dialogue of the artists, we will approach the contemporary visual environment of the two countries. The exhibition takes place in the context of “XVI Italian Contemporary Day”.
Eight (8) artists participate in this exhibition: Blaqk, Kez, Kostis Damoulakis aka Jamer and Same84 from Greece and 2501, Etnik, Ozmo and Paolo Psiko from Italy.
Several of the artists mentioned have participated in the mural programs we implement in Greece, and some are “preparing” for their first visit to our country. The artists present, each in the same dimension of space “2×2”, a different perspective of their work. Their questions, their anxieties, doubts and temporary answers pass from the “canvas” of the public space, to their closed personal space-studio, and from there they are “exposed” again to the general public.
We would like to thank the artists for their participation, the Municipality of Athens, the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens for its cooperation and support, The Project Gallery and Couleur Locale for their hospitality, the sponsors and supporters and all those who support our team.
Enjoy your tour.
