Ελληνική συμμετοχή στο θερινό φεστιβάλ του δήμου Σκοπίων 2022 με σύνθημα “Επενδύουμε στον πολιτισμό που μας ενώνει”
Για πρώτη φορά μετά από πάρα πολλά χρόνια θα υπάρξει ελληνική συμμετοχή στο θερινό φεστιβάλ του δήμου Σκοπίων 2022 υπό την αιγίδα της Γενικής Γραμματείας Απόδημου Ελληνισμού και Δημόσιας Διπλωματίας του ελληνικού Υπουργείου Εξωτερικών με την υποστήριξη του Γραφείου Δημόσιας Διπλωματίας της Πρεσβείας της Ελλάδος στη Βόρεια Μακεδονία.
Την Τετάρτη 06 Ιουλίου 2022 και ώρα 21:00 μ.μ. ένα ισχυρό και αδιάκοπο κύμα δροσιάς από swing and jazz νότες θα κατακλύσει το κοινό στη συναυλία του ελληνικού συγκροτήματος «Jim Politis Quartet», η οποία διοργανώνεται στο πλατώ του East Gate Mall σε συνεργασία με το θερινό φεστιβάλ του δήμου Σκοπίων 2022. Το Δημήτρη Πολίτη (κιθάρα) θα συνοδεύσουν οι Γιώργος Πατσιώτης (κιθάρα), Κώστας Αρσένης (κοντραμπάσο), Σέργιος Χρυσοβιτσάνος (βιολί).
Χαιρετισμό θα εκφωνήσουν ο Προϊστάμενος του Γραφείου Δημόσιας Διπλωματίας της Πρεσβείας της Ελλάδος στη Βόρεια Μακεδονία, κ. Κωνσταντίνος Προκάκης, και ο Γενικός Γραμματέας Απόδημου Ελληνισμού και Δημόσιας Διπλωματίας, Επίτιμος καθηγητής, κ. Ιωάννης Χρυσουλάκης (video).
Το σύνθημα της συναυλίας είναι «επενδύουμε στον πολιτισμό που μας ενώνει». Η Βόρεια Μακεδονία και η Ελλάδα διαθέτουν αξιόλογη jazz σκηνή και το θερινό φεστιβάλ του δήμου Σκοπίων αποτελεί έναν από τους πιο αναγνωρίσιμους πολιτιστικούς θεσμούς, ώστε καλλιτέχνες, φιλόμουσο κοινό και απλοί άνθρωποι από τις δυο χώρες να βρεθούν στον ίδιο χώρο, να γνωρισθούν και να διασκεδάσουν.
Χορηγοί της εκδήλωσης είναι οι εταιρείες Pivara-Skopje, Stopanska Banka και Energy Delivery Solutions (EDS). Στο χώρο της συναυλίας θα πωλούνται από την Pivara-Skopje ποτά και αναψυκτικά.
Χορηγοί επικοινωνίας είναι η εφημερίδα Sloboden Pecat και ο τηλεοπτικός σταθμός Kanal 5.
Το Γραφείο Δημόσιας Διπλωματίας της Πρεσβείας της Ελλάδος στη Βόρεια Μακεδονία και η Διεύθυνση Πολιτισμού και Τεχνών του δήμου Σκοπίων επενδύουν στον πολιτισμό που μας ενώνει και προσβλέπουν σε μεγάλη ανταπόκριση από τους πολίτες και τους επισκέπτες της πόλης. Είσοδος ελεύθερη.

Jim Politis (guitar)
Jim Politis was born in Athens, Greece. Ηe is a composer, guitar instructor and session guitarist having a music background that combines many different music genres like fusion, bebop, gypsy jazz, balkan, metal, rock, blues, funk, soul, percussion guitar. He presents a modern approach in acoustic jazz music.
He studied composition, improvisation, music theory, ear training, drums, and percussion in Philippos Nakas Conservatory (1999-2002).
He shared the stage with Stochelo Rosenberg of The Rosenberg Trio (in 2015’s European tour), with the bassist Stu Hamm (Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Frank Gambale etc) in 2018 and collaborated in numerous albums with great Greek musicians, composers, producers, and artists. He has numerous collaborations & projects with musicians and bands as a recording artist, producer, composer, and orchestrator with musicians from England, USA, Canada, Wales, Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Croatia, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia. He appeared live in numerous venues and festivals all over the world, including The Royal Albert Hall (UK), Djangofollies Festival (Belgium), UK Jazz and Blues Festival (UK), Brussels Jazz Marathon (Belgium), JekerJazz Festival (Netherlands), Esplanade Theater (Singapore) etc.
He has done 7 European tours and an Asian tour in Malaysia and Singapore, including workshops and masterclasses in countries like Italy, Croatia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Wales, England, Singapore, Malaysia. In Greece, he appeared live in Djangofest Greece, Tinos Jazz Festival, Rhodes Jazz Festival and Jazzet (local club) guitar festival and in many local clubs all over Greece with his band.
He has 14 personal albums as a composer, more than 35 albums as a producer/composer in various music styles and numerous collaborations as a session guitarist. Right now, he is working on his two new personal albums. Founder and organiser of the yearly Guitar Jam Festival for 4 consecutive years in Volos, Greece from 2008 until 2011 – Tutor at Yiorgos Fakanas school of Arts, Tutor in the Conservatory of Arts in Volos (2008 – 2009). Founder, owner, and sound engineer of two different recording studios and rehearsal studios [Attitude Recording Studios (2006 – 2008) and BPM Recording Studios (2008 – 2012)]. Founder of the yearly Music Arts Camp for musicians. Ambassador of Schertler Amps, Rm acoustics, Sigletos acoustic guitars, Paveza guitars.
George Patsiotis (guitar)
George Patsiotis graduated from the Music Science Department of the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki and holds a master’s degree in Jazz Music (University of Athens).
Furthermore, he holds two diplomas in classical and electric guitar and has followed masterclasses with various classical and jazz soloists. During the last two decades he works as a guitarist and teacher of music.
He has participated in numerous projects, countless concerts and recordings.
Kostas Arsenis (bass)
Kostas Arsenis (double bass) was born in Larissa where he had his first courses in music theory, clasical guitar and electric bass.
He studied double bass at the Athens Conservatory with prof. Anastasios Kazaglis and electric bass at Nakas Conservatory of Athens with Yiotis Kiourtsoglou.
Furthermore, he studied classical guitar at the Music Interpretation Department of George Enescu Music University in Bucharest and musicology at Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He has worked as a music teacher in many schools and conservatories. As a bassist, he has cooperated with various well-known Greek composers, bands, orchestras and singers and has participated in numerous concerts, musical and tv productions in Greece and abroad (Athens Tango Ensemble, Athens Theater Orchestra, Diminuita Swing Trio, ALKMAN, Frog String Trio, Orfeas Peridis, Dionisis Savvopoulos, Alkistis Protopsalti, Kostas Hatzis, Mimis Plessas, Taboo Trio, Brasilentina and many others).
Sergio Chrissovitsanos (violin)
Sergio Chrissovitsanos is one of the most active violinists and multi-instrumentalists in Greece with an extensive presence on stage and in discography.
He has studied violin and music theory and has been teaching and taking part in various music projects for more than 25 years, either playing violin, guitar, mandolin or ukulele.
Since 2010 he has been member of Gadjo Dilo, a well-known Greek gypsy jazz band. He has cooperated with various famous musicians (Stochelo Rosenberg, Nikko Patrelakis, The Ghost Notes) in several performances at Royal Albert Hall, Odeon of Herodus Atticus, Athens Concert Hall, Djangofollies etc.
