Ο Αμερικανός FHEDESH μιλάει στο Hephaestus
Hello and welcome to Hephaestus! When did you form Fhedesh and what pushed you to start out this project?
About five years ago I found myself more interested in creating music for myself. I was at a point in my life where I was financially in the right position to explore who I am and what I truly wanted to do as a artist. This is how “FHEDESH” was born. My Warning Sings album project was created and conceptualized as a reflection to the pandemic we have all endured.
How would you label the music style of Fhedesh? Which music genres and styles do you use, abuse and mix up to create your own very special Fhedesh sound?
My Style is mixture of Dracwave, Darkwave, post punk, dark Electro house and hints of trap.
Which are the projects, bands and artists that have influenced you in your whole music and non-music life?
Panther Modern, Vaughn Avakin, Sextile, Boy Harsher, Delta 9 and System of the Down
When did you become fond of Dark Arts and how do you experience this in your everyday life? I have been a proponent of the dark arts throughout my whole life. Something is always pulled that direction. At this point in my life I have learned to embody it and embrace it and to be honest with my true self.
Please introduce us Drac’Haus, your own club, a club that you have made it the no.1 Dark Arts/Goth Club in L.A. and one of the biggest clubs in its style in the world. What does it actually take to run such an important club?
NATAS-A-LIAH its as simple as that. Do as thy wilt. If you build it your disciples will come knocking at your door. Drac’Haus is the only place in the world where you can fully express your true being among like-minded counterparts. Our frequency will free your adulterated desires without judgement. We have 500 plus members from around the world ???? that come to hear and experience the world of VAMPIRISM-BDSM-GOTH-INDUSTRIAL-DARKWAVE-POSTPUNK EVEN A BLOODBATH EVERY NOW AND THEN.
Your music with Fhedesh is extreme. Do you like extreme music in general (for example extreme metal, extreme hardcore techno, experimental, noise and other styles)? Which music styles and genres do you think are the most extreme? I thoroughly enjoy aggressive and extreme music but yes death metal, Industrial, hardcore and even Punk can rattle the cage.
How important is your image for Fhedesh and what influenced you to decide on using this particular image?
I wanted to embody my art and become the image of my expression. After searching and consulting with an artists/fashion designer friend named Sav Noir, he suggested wearing lace would be the perfect reflection of my dark art. He was right.
You play the piano. Do you have music studies? What do you think of classical music, and how possible is it to get a piano driven Fhedesh album at some point?
I have studied music in the past when I was in grade school but not so much the piano I was more of a brass player French horn trumpet musical instruments of that sort. It wasn’t until later in life that I decided to move forward on the piano and practice countless hours to gain my skills.
I think a piano driven album or at least an EP should be on the near Horizon.
What was the response of the media and the fans to your latest album “Warning Signs”? Are you satisfied with it? I am extremely grateful for the response at the time that my fans have taken to listen to my album at the trip to my shows and express their true feelings about the frequencies that I have presented. I feel humbled and honored.
What is going wrong with modern life and modern way of thinking, according to your opinion?
I believe we are in unfortunate times. I never thought the masses would prefer to be controlled by there local and State governments. We are being persecuted for exercising critical thinking skills.
What is your life philosophy and how is this philosophy expressed on Fhedesh? You should always take care of yourself first. If one cannot take care of themselves, how could they possibly take care of the ones they love around them. Be who you truly are and exercise strong decisive and Fair ethics.
How often do you play live? And what’s a Fhedesh live show experience like? Play live one to two times a week during my shows you can expect to see me play the piano DJ most of my music along with mashing GothRock/Darkwave/PostPunk/Trap
and intense performance dark art at the same time.
What are your next plans for Fhedesh? Do you plan to go on with another single from the album “Warning Signs” or will you create a new album? Do you have any song titles and/or dates?
After warning signs I plan on shooting a video for a second single named Slash Slash featuring Sin Savio
