Daughters of Penelope Pallas Athena Vienna: dop-women’s-cancer-panel-discussion

As President of the Daughters of Penelope, Chapter 459, Pallas Athena Vienna, we exercise our mission which is supporting Hellenism, Education, Philanthropy, Civic Responsibility, Family and Personal Excellence.

Being part of a 95-year-old established organization with 10,000 members in Canada, USA, Europe, and Australia, we are proud to continue charity in Vienna. Since December 2024, we are supporting the needs of 70-80 homeless women, who depend on us for hygene articles, soaps, undergarments, socks, clothes and other needs, not covered by Fonds Soziales Wien, on a daily basis.

As our next event, Daughters of Penelope are organising a panel discussion on women’s cancers with four of the most respected international specialists on women’s cancers (prevention, early diagnosis and state of the art treatments). This event will take place in the Novum Hauptbahnhof, Monday, March 10, 2025 at 19:00. You are very welcome to come and also participate in the Q & A at the end. After the event, there will be something to drink and you can meet the panel.

Her impactful projects include eating disorder helplines, culturally sensitive women’s health centers, early detection programs for postpartum depression, and large-scale mammography screening pilots. She is a leading advocate for equitable healthcare access and gender-sensitive health policies.
