How did the band come about and when was it founded?

Andrea: It was after my and Markus’ first band parted ways. After a while we felt like we wanted to start a new band. Since we love Rock Music we started to work on some new stuff and looked for musicians. First it was more like a project. We produced the EP Porcelain Heart and finally started working on our first album. During this time I got around to asking Stone and Andreas if they would like to play some guitars on the album. Luckily, they have now become part of the band.

What is the band’s music philosophy, and what music audience are you trying to reach?

Markus: We are clearly a hard rock band. It’s the style of music we all feel most at home with. The most important thing for us is that we and the audience enjoy the music and have a good time.

What are the musical influences (bands, artists, etc.) that have played a role in the creation of the band?

Markus: It was never like we said we wanted to sound like a certain band. That thought didn’t matter. But you can certainly find influences from certain bands in the rock genre here and there. We like all bands like Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Guns ‘n’ Roses and many more…

We would like you to introduce us to the members of the band and tell us what the main qualification is, personal and musical of each of you.

Andrea: Well, I am singer and songwriter of this project. I have been active in bands for quite some time. I don’t have a musical education; I just sing a lot and I like Rock and Roll!

Markus: I play drums and I am a little crazy.

Stoney Dee: I play guitar and I am a Hurensohn.

Andreas: I play more guitar and I am a horny son of a bitch.

Were the first steps difficult?

Andrea: It’s a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll. – The best way to describe it.

I would like you to tell us about the ingenious and at the same time «catchy» name of the band. How I was inspired

Markus: Simple Story: It is simply Andrea’s nickname. Since she wanted a rock band, Andy Rocks was the obvious choice. The name is now very common in our band, we have Andre, Andrea and Andreas.

Did you ever play on Austria?

Andrea: Not yet unfortunately.
