A richl cultural program during the 6th edition of Beyond Borders International Documentary Festival of Castellorizo
Photographic and sculpture exhibitions, music concerts and educational courses for the children will once again frame Beyond Borders International Documentary Festival of Castellorizo, which will be held on the idyllic island from August 22nd-29th, 2021.
Throughout the festival, visitors will have the chance to enjoy the exhibition of the National Historical Museum, “The Archipelago on Fire” that will be hosted at the Municipality Hall of Megisti. It is an exhibition with reproductions from the collections and the archive of Historical Documents of the Museum, about the naval struggle of the Greeks.
This year’s event will also be interesting for the Castellorizian youth, since from Monday 23rd to Friday 28th, in collaboration with the National Historical Museum, they will have the chance to create their own works of art using as reference portraits and engravings with figures and scenes from the Greek Revolution of 1821.
Simultaneously, through the “Fairytale Musical Journeys” of Lily Tegou, they will be introduced to the concept of freedom and travel to the magical world of music. The older ages will have the opportunity to attend the professional photography seminar “I love photography”. At the end of the seminar, the students’ works will be exhibited in the Municipality Hall of Megisti( 28th-29th August).
