The Competition Section and Panorama of the 6th Beyond Borders Documentary Festival, Castellorizo

A total of 27 documentaries will be participating at the Competition Section from 17 different countries and 16 more documentary films will be screened at the Panorama section of the 6th Beyond Borders International Documentary Festival, which will be held (August 22rd-29th, 2021) in Castellorizo island, Greece.

Once again, the screenings include a collection of compelling films dealing with historical, cross-cultural events, trends and personalities that have shaped our countries, peoples and civilizations.

The jury of the Festival (Klaus Eder – General Secretary of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), Marianna Economou – President of the Greek Documentary Association – Jean-Christoph Caron – Head of PHOENIX , Bruno Chatelin – Festival Agent and  Maro Anastopoulou – Director) will award the following prizes: Best History Documentary, Best Socio-political Documentary, Best Short Length Documentary – all of them a kind courtesy of the Hellenic Parliament -, Best Greek Documentary, sponsored by Greek Film Centre (GFC), the Special Award of Mediterranean Friendship by National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication (EKOME Media) and the Special Award of Odyssey courtesy of the General Secretariat of Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
